Studio Policy 2026.
Reservation of your personal timeslot
· When enrolling in ongoing lessons, you are reserving and committing to a specific weekly timeslot.
This timeslot is held exclusively for your dancer and cannot be filled casually if you are away.
We understand that life happens. We offer one rescheduled lesson per student, per term, for personal reasons (e.g., travel, illness), subject to availability.
The studio hire portion of your fee (currently $30) is not refundable.
Additional absences—whether planned or unexpected—are still payable in full in order to retain your dancer’s reserved place for continued lessons.
Enrolment
· Students are enrolled for weekly ongoing lessons (unless otherwise agreed, e.g., casual lessons) and require a minimum one-term commitment.
Most terms include 10–12 weekly lessons.
Mid-term enrolments may be available depending on space and are billed for the remaining weeks in the term.
One term’s notice is required to cancel enrolment.
Developing Dancers Melbourne reserves the right to cancel ongoing enrolment at any time. Any unused lessons will be refunded.
Payment Policy
Accounts will be emailed at the end of the previous term and are payable by the 1st lesson of term.
Fees may be paid by Electronic Funds Transfer or through Stripe.
· If you are experiencing financial difficulty, we will consider payment arrangements on an agreed schedule. Please make your request at least 7 business days prior to term commencement allowing for processing time of a written payment agreement.
· Tuition fees are non-refundable.
Overdue Accounts
· If fees are not paid by the due date, and no payment arrangement has been requested, lessons cannot be given. If a payment arrangement was entered into but not adhered to, no further lessons can be given.
· To cover our administrative expenses associated with overdue accounts, $25 per week late fee will be added from the date of the first missed payment.
· In the event that your overdue account remains unsettled, it may be referred to a collection agency and the account holder will be liable for all associated costs.

· All scheduled lessons for the term are payable regardless of student attendance.
· In extenuating circumstances, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel & refund lessons as necessary.
Illness & Emergencies

For a student’s first missed lesson of the term, we will do our best to reschedule it (subject to availability). A studio hire fee ($30/hr) may apply.

As a general guideline, if a student is not well enough for school/work, they are not well enough for dance.
