Introducing TheraDance.
A sister business of Developing Dancers Melbourne.
Occupational therapy, reimagined.
Empowering abilities through dance.
TheraDance is a new allied health offering created by Kate Reilly, occupational therapist and founder of Developing Dancers Melbourne. This sister business combines the principles of occupational therapy with the joy, structure, and creativity of dance to support NDIS participants of all ages.
All sessions are delivered one-on-one and designed to systematically build functional capacity through structured, movement-based intervention.
Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to:
Gross and fine motor development including postural control, balance, coordination, and bilateral integration
Activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and managing footwear
Cognitive functioning including attention, memory, planning, sequencing, and instruction-following
Communication and engagement through shared movement and structured routines
Confidence, autonomy, and persistence through skill mastery and repetition
Whether working with children or adults, TheraDance uses movement as a powerful therapeutic tool to target motor, cognitive, and daily living skills through structured, individualised intervention.
